Earlier landscapes some as old as 2000 with three new drawings at right. I can usually find more abstract forms which I have been reluctant to evolve in my "out there" site painting.

Where I left off in February

Paintings for the Cathedral of St John the Divine.

NYC

These were to be shown in NYC in conjunction with the Cathedral Stations Project. There were to be 7 paintings in the show. There is now a tentative plan to show them next spring 2012.

Looking back to the beginning

I can feel the cyclic feeling here portrayed in the series.

Going round. There is a Stevens poem called the pleasures of merely circulating. There is something of that. Merely going round-- then wondering of the secret in the grass.

I had pushed the paintings to a further flatness. In the end I wanted to see a deeper space juxtaposed and made these which I had made similar versions in the beginning in 2008 when I started this group of paintings.

The frames have seemed to function as part of the paintings.
