NYC
These were to be shown in NYC in conjunction with the Cathedral Stations Project. There were to be 7 paintings in the show. There is now a tentative plan to show them next spring 2012.

Looking back to the beginning
I can feel the cyclic feeling here portrayed in the series.
Going round. There is a Stevens poem called the pleasures of merely circulating. There is something of that. Merely going round-- then wondering of the secret in the grass.
The drawings that were behind Paumanok Reeds. Working on these since 2008.

Black and White space
I had pushed the paintings to a further flatness. In the end I wanted to see a deeper space juxtaposed and made these which I had made similar versions in the beginning in 2008 when I started this group of paintings.
